Collision in Syunik Involves Mitsubishi Grandis and Nissan Pathfinder; Four Injured Including Children
Today, on August 24, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 11:30 AM, at the 182 km mark of the Yerevan-Eraskh-Meghri highway, in the administrative area of Tsghuk village, a collision took place between a Mitsubishi Grandis and a Nissan Pathfinder.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, four individuals, including children, were transported to the "Sisian" medical center with injuries. A rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, specifically from Sisian's 57th fire and rescue unit, quickly arrived at the scene with one firefighting group.
The firefighters assisted two of the injured individuals into the ambulance of Sisian hospital and then proceeded to disconnect the car batteries and close off the gas cylinders.
Emergency response teams also arrived promptly, including officers from the 1st platoon of the 6th company of the 2nd police battalion, led by platoon commander Gegham Margaryan and squad leader Karen Ohanyan.
On-site investigations were directed by Senior Investigator Suren Vardanyan of the same company, who is preparing materials regarding the incident. The police are working to determine the identities of the drivers and the injured parties.
Additionally, a duty response team from the Sisian division of the police arrived, along with representatives from insurance companies.
