Taliban Calls on Those Gathered at Kabul Airport to Return Home
The Taliban has urged Afghans who have gathered at the international airport out of fear of the group to return home. According to BBC Russian, this statement was made by the official spokesperson of the movement, Zabihullah Mujahid, during his first press conference in Kabul.
"Families at the airport will not be harmed if they return home. We will not pursue anyone," Mujahid stated.
