VIDEO: Azerbaijan Dissatisfied with War Outcomes, Engaging in Provocations -hovik aghazaryan
Azerbaijan's provocations will continue as Baku seeks to accelerate certain processes, particularly the signing of a peace agreement in the version they envision. This was stated by the MP from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, Hovik Aghazaryan, in an interview with 24News.
“We will not make any territorial concessions to Azerbaijan. I don’t know at which stage this peace agreement will be examined, but perhaps one of its points should be the issue of delimitation, or the delimitation question should be resolved before it is signed. As you know, during the Soviet years, the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan were not so clearly defined, and therefore, considering this fact and other historical realities, we must proceed with this process,” he said.
Commenting on the breach of the ceasefire regime by Azerbaijani armed forces in Artsakh, the ruling party MP expressed conviction that “Azerbaijan and Turkey are dissatisfied with the outcomes of the war, which is why they are feeding their people with such steps, that there are still problems to solve, and they need to unite and move forward.”
According to Aghazaryan, the issue of appointing a foreign minister should be resolved “as soon as possible,” but he found it difficult to comment on why the appointment of the head of the foreign policy agency is being delayed.
“We have not discussed Ararat Mirzoyan's candidacy as foreign minister within the team, but I personally believe that if the Prime Minister stands behind that candidacy, it would be a quite successful choice,” he added.
