VIDEO: "This Affects Us" - Here's What's Happening at Zvartnots Airport
Auroranews has received reports from a group of citizens regarding the service at Zvartnots International Airport. The citizens note that although three aircraft landed simultaneously during the night, only half of the 14 designated check-in windows at the airport were operational.
Auroranews’ correspondent was among these citizens and confirmed that the reports we received align with the reality. Furthermore, he added that while on-site, he attempted to cover the issue and understand why such a situation existed, however, he was threatened with a fine for filming in the area.
Airport staff, mistaking our correspondent for a foreigner, were overheard saying, "This Affects Us." Following this, our staff member was invited to a room and pressured to delete the video from his phone.
Other citizens who were part of those raising the issue have also received similar treatment. It is noteworthy that many videos from Zvartnots Airport are published online daily, and it seems that airport staff are not opposed to filming, yet the situation dramatically changes when the filming is meant to cover a problem.
“They want a negative Covid test from us, but the way they operate, it is actually possible to get infected right at the airport. In other words, that paper is merely a means of making money, which serves only a formal purpose,” citizens who contacted us stated.
