Extraordinary Incident in Lori Region: Grenade Thrown at 'Amsterdam' Open-Air Café in Vanadzor
Vanadzor police are preparing materials in connection with the explosion that occurred in the city on August 10.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, at around 03:30, a 51-year-old resident of Vanadzor, Armen Karalyan, called the Bazum police station to report that on the same day, at approximately 02:20, an unknown person threw a grenade towards the 'Amsterdam' open-air café located at 12 M. Heratsi Street in Vanadzor and then fled the scene.
The head of the Lori regional police, Azizyan, and the temporary head of the Bazum police station, Arzumanyan, arrived at the scene. Regional forensic experts and an investigator worked at the location.
Fortunately, according to initial reports, there were no casualties, but the café suffered material damage. The police are taking necessary measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to apprehend the suspect.
