Tensions Rise in Parliament: Security Personnel in Military Uniforms Present in Hall

The situation in the National Assembly escalated following the speech of Deputy Speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan. Assembly President Alen Simonyan responded to Saghatelyan, stating that the public has expressed its views on who the "capitulator" and who the "traitor" is.

After that, he invited the leader of the "Civil Contract" faction to the podium, which prompted responses from the lawmakers of the "Armenia" faction from their seats. Alen Simonyan urged everyone to maintain silence in the session hall and then issued warnings to the parliament members from the "Armenia" faction, Agnesa Khachaturyan and Armen Rustamyan.

“I revoke your speaking rights; get him out,” Rustamyan responded, to which Alen Simonyan replied, “I can do that.” Simonyan also urged "Civil Contract" faction member Narek Grigoryan not to stand up from his seat, saying, “Just calm down, Narek.”

President Alen Simonyan then called in security personnel in military uniforms to the session hall and later instructed to turn off the live broadcast.
