Cluster Bomb Explodes in Artsakh, Injuring 2 Sappers

During engineering reconnaissance operations today, August 11, in the area of Nor Shen village, Martuni region of Artsakh, sappers from the Humanitarian Demining Center Foundation were injured due to the explosion of a cluster bomb, according to the Artsakh Emergency Situations Ministry.

"Two sappers with varying degrees of physical injuries have been transported to the republican medical center by an ambulance. Their health condition is stable. One of the sappers has been moved to the Martuni regional medical facility. His condition is stable but serious. The State Emergency Service will provide additional information later," the statement said.
