VIDEO: Azerbaijani Soldiers Deliberately Set Fire to Lands in Yeraskh Village, Ombudsman Reports

The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, stated on his Facebook page: "Azerbaijani soldiers are deliberately committing criminal acts by setting fire to lands owned by residents near the village of Yeraskh in the Ararat province of Armenia, as well as adjacent plots of land.

Today, the Office of the Human Rights Defender has received alerts that Azerbaijani armed forces are firing small and large-caliber weapons in the immediate vicinity of Yeraskh and directly toward the village. The village is located about 1 km away from Azerbaijani positions.

The gunfire from the Azerbaijani armed forces grossly violates the rights of the residents of Yeraskh and neighboring villages. Due to the fires, the inhabitants of Yeraskh and adjacent villages are unable to conduct regular agricultural activities. Additionally, the gunfire and fires have disrupted the peaceful and normal life of the people in Yeraskh, particularly."
