One of the Attackers on Arman Antonyan's House Declared Wanted

The investigation department of the Kotayk Regional Investigative Committee continues active investigative and procedural actions regarding the criminal case involving the assault on Yerevan city council member Arman Antonyan and his grandfather, as well as an attempted murder and violation of the sanctity of the dwelling.

Previously, it was reported that on August 1, 2021, around 01:00, two masked individuals unlawfully entered the residence of A. Antonyan in the Nor Artamet community. They attacked him, inflicting cuts and blunt force injuries to vital organs, and attempted to flee. However, upon encountering resistance from A. Antonyan's 87-year-old grandfather, one of the alleged assailants also inflicted injuries on the elderly man using a cutting tool.

During the investigation, the identity of one of the suspects was established; he is a 30-year-old resident of Yerevan. Based on sufficient evidence, he has been charged under articles 118, 147, and 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code and has been declared wanted. Today, the court granted the prosecution's request to choose arrest as a preventive measure against him.

The pre-investigation continues, and measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case and ensure an objective and comprehensive investigation. Active actions are ongoing aimed at locating the 30-year-old man, as well as identifying the second alleged perpetrator and presenting them to the prosecuting authority.
