Earthquake Recorded in the Georgia-Armenia Border Area

On August 6, at 16:49 local time (12:49 GMT), an earthquake was recorded by the seismic protection service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations in the border area between Georgia and Armenia, located 14 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, with geographical coordinates of 41.19° North latitude and 43.95° East longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers, measuring 2.8 in magnitude.

The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area was rated at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Norashen and Sarchapet in the Lori Province with an intensity of 2 points.
