Robbery with Grenade Threat: Investigative Committee Provides Details

On August 4, 2021, at approximately 03:37, an individual suspected of committing a crime entered the "Fast Credit Capital" LLC branch located on Yerevan Street in Ijevan, with the intent of stealing property. The suspect demanded money from an employee under the threat of using a grenade, claiming he would detonate it, but after not receiving the money, he fled the scene.

On the same day, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia initiated a criminal case in the Tavush regional investigative department under the fourth part of Article 175 of the RA Criminal Code.

During the initial investigation, a site examination was conducted. The mentioned employee of the company was recognized as a victim, and several individuals have been interviewed.

Necessary measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident, establish the identity of the alleged perpetrator, locate him, and present him to the prosecuting authority. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
