Opel Driver Hits On-Duty Traffic Police Supervisor

Today, on August 5, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 05:30, 41-year-old Gagik Simonian, residing in Yerevan, hit 28-year-old Arthur Karapetyan with his Opel vehicle on Maryakaghakayin Street, near the well-known Parakar Traffic Police post.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene, and the injured party was transported with bodily injuries to the "Astghik" medical center. The first to provide assistance to the victim were Artak Siradekyan, the deputy commander of the 1st battalion of the Yerevan division of the Patrol Service of the RA Police, and Gevorg Torosyan, the commander of the 3rd platoon of the same battalion.

According to reports, the injured individual works as a senior inspector in the 2nd company of the 1st squad of the Traffic Police of the RA Police, and at the time of the incident, he was on duty with a colleague.
