The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Has a New Press Secretary
According to the decree of Armenia's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Armen Grigoryan, Vahan Hunanyan has been appointed as the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
Biography of Vahan Hunanyan
Born on November 19, 1986, in Yerevan.
Education and Training
- 2004-2008: Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Yerevan State University (YSU) Faculty of Physics.
- 2011-2013: Master’s degree in European Studies from the YSU Center for European Studies.
- 2011-2012: Courses at the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia on preparing diplomatic personnel.
- 2012: Media and Communication course in the field of crisis management (Shpits).
- 2012: Trends and priorities of modern Russian foreign policy (Moscow).
- 2019: Research scholarship named after Krzysztof Skubiszewski and three-month research work (Warsaw).
Professional Activity
- 2012-2013: Attaché at the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- 2013-2017: Attaché, then Third Secretary at the Armenian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
- October-December 2017: Third Secretary at the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- 2017-2018: Responsible for network cooperation at the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST).
- 2018-2020: Invited lecturer at the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia.
- 2018-2020: Press Secretary for the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan.
- 2020-2021: Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan.
- On August 4, 2021, appointed as the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the acting Minister Armen Grigoryan.
