The Geography of Burning Forests in Turkey Is Expanding, Approaching Neighboring Countries: Nairi Hokhikyan
The wildfires raging in Turkey for days have brought emotional delight to Armenians, considering the country's hostile attitude towards us and the damage caused during the war. This was stated by media expert Nairi Hokhikyan on his Facebook page.
“For me, calls for humanitarianism from some individuals are fake and inhumane, but if we look at the realities soberly, we must consider a few facts. The geography of burning forests in Turkey is expanding, gradually approaching neighboring countries. Fires have already broken out in Greece, and there are also forest fire hotspots in the Hakkari province, which is about 280 km from the Armenian border.
Nature knows no borders, and it is not excluded that the fires may rapidly approach us as well; therefore, it is essential to take preventive measures at the state level and cease the meaningless rejoicing,” he noted.
