Turkey Requests Assistance from the EU

Turkey has requested assistance from the EU to extinguish powerful forest fires raging in the country, TASS reports.

“Turkey has activated the European Civil Protection Mechanism. Croatia and Spain have already confirmed sending firefighting aircraft to the disaster zone,” the European Commission stated.
