No Decision to Restrict Journalists' Movement in National Assembly: Official Letter

Currently, there is no decision to restrict journalists' movement in the National Assembly of Armenia. This was stated by MP Takhuhy Tovmasyan, who was elected from the 'I Have Honor' alliance, on her Facebook page.

She specifically noted: 'Dear journalists, As you remember, I had contacted the head of the National Assembly staff regarding the reports I received about restrictions on your movement in the National Assembly. I have received a response letter indicating that there is no decision at this time to restrict journalists' movement in the National Assembly.

It is good that the authorities did not take that step, listened to the journalistic outcry, and the discussed tightening of restrictions did not become a document and was not implemented. I hope that there will never be a decision to restrict journalists' movement in the National Assembly, and representatives of the media will freely move within the parliament by 'tradition'.
