Nikol Pashinyan Appointed Prime Minister of Armenia by Presidential Decree
Nikol Pashinyan has been appointed as the Prime Minister of Armenia by a decree from the President of the Republic.
The decree has been published on the official website of the President of Armenia.
"Based on the first part of Article 149 of the Constitution, Nikol Pashinyan is appointed as Prime Minister," the decree states.
The candidacy of Nikol Pashinyan for the position of Prime Minister was put forward by the ruling majority in the National Assembly, the "Civil Contract" faction.
