I Have No Friends in Politics: Vranetsyan on the Election of Alen Simonyan as Speaker of the National Assembly

Offices have been allocated, but there are no amenities. This was stated by Arthur Vranetsyan, a member of the "Honorary Right" faction, during a conversation with journalists on August 2, the first day of the newly elected parliament's first session.

When asked how he envisions the National Assembly's first working day, he replied, "The agenda is set by law. We will participate in those discussions depending on the situation; we will show our appropriate regard. Everything depends on the events occurring in the hall."

When asked whether he is ready to vote for his friend or former friend Alen Simonyan as the Speaker of the National Assembly, Vranetsyan responded, "I have no friends, former friends, relatives, or acquaintances in politics. There is a political team, and political decisions are made. Whatever decision is made by the political team, I will be guided by that decision."
