Houses of Residents in Eranos and Lanjaghbyur Villages Flooded Due to Heavy Rain
On August 2, at 1:31 AM, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a house in the village of Eranos was flooded as a result of heavy rain. A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers carried out drainage works (approximately 7 tons) in the basement of one of the houses on 1st Alley, 6th Street of the village (approximately 80 square meters).
The Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center also received information that a car was stuck near Ilikavank due to the heavy rain, and the houses of residents in the village of Lanjaghbyur were also being flooded. Another rescue unit was sent to the scene. Rescuers managed to remove a “KIA Sportage” vehicle (driver: Y. B.) from the blockage. They performed drainage work in the basements of private houses located on Ilikavank and Ayvazovsky streets in the village of Lanjaghbyur.
