First Session of Newly Elected Parliament to Be Held Today: What to Expect
Today, following the extraordinary elections of the National Assembly, the first session of the newly elected parliament will take place, marking the end of the current parliament's powers in accordance with the Constitution.
The session will begin at 10:00 AM, with the eldest member of parliament, 76-year-old Knyaz Hasanov from the Civil Contract party, presiding over the proceedings until the election of the National Assembly president.
During the opening of the first session, a welcome speech will be delivered by the President of the Republic and the Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians. After the welcoming remarks, the members of parliament will take their oaths.
