Arman Antonyan Stabbed 11 Times

Arman Antonyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the 'My Step' faction, has been stabbed 11 times. This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by Vardan Tadevosyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

“A stabbing incident occurred, he has received 11 stab wounds, and Arman Antonyan is currently in the hospital. Investigators have gone to the hospital, and more detailed information will be provided later,” he said.

A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 147 (Violation of the Invio lability of the Home), 118 (Beating), and 34-104(2)(7) (Attempted Murder by a Group of Persons or an Organized Group) of the RA Criminal Code.

Earlier, the 'My Step' faction of the Yerevan City Council issued a statement indicating that on August 1, around 1:00 AM, several masked individuals entered Antonyan's home in the Kotayk region armed with clubs and knives, brutally beating and stabbing him. Doctors have assessed Arman Antonyan's condition as extremely serious.
