Video: New Recruits Dance After Oath at Khor Virap

Armenian soldiers have performed a bold round dance under the walls of the Khor Virap monastery, situated at the foot of Mount Ararat. The video was shared on Facebook by user Vahagn Mikaelyan, who appears to be a new recruit based on his posts.

On their military oath day, it was his initiative to dance a warlike national dance. Vahagn taught his fellow soldiers the Kochari dance from Sgherd. After pledging their military allegiance to the homeland, the boys danced the energetic national Kochari and lifted the spirits of those present at the ceremony.
