Fires Extinguished by Rescuers in 4.13 Hectares
From July 30 to 31, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 18 reports regarding wildfires across various grasslands in the country, covering approximately 200 square meters or more in each case. Notably, in Yerevan's Kentron administrative district, the fire affected 4,200 square meters; in the Arabkir district, 3,000 square meters; in Shengavit district, 600 square meters; and in Ajapnyak district, 200 square meters.
Additionally, in the Aragatsotn region, the city of Ashtarak experienced a fire covering 2,000 square meters. In the Ararat region, the town of Masis was affected with 5,000 square meters burned, while in Armavir's Ejmiatsin town, 500 square meters were impacted. In Lori Province, Spitak faced a fire that consumed 5,000 square meters, and in Kotayk district, the village of Kanakeravan witnessed 1,000 square meters of flames.
Other notable fires included 2,000 square meters along the Abovyan-Nor Hachn highway, 3,500 square meters in the Shirak region's Gyumri, 1 hectare in the village of Gusanakugh, and 300 square meters in the city of Artik. In Syunik's Meghri town, 600 square meters burned, and along the Ashtarak-Nor Geghi highway, 3,000 square meters were on fire, with an additional 400 square meters along the Meghri-Lehvaz highway.
Rescuers extinguished the fires in the aforementioned areas, totaling 4.13 hectares.
