US Congresswoman Calls on Azerbaijan to Immediately Withdraw from Armenian Territory

US Representative Katherine Clark has called on the Azerbaijani armed forces to withdraw immediately from Armenian territory. According to a report by Armenpress, she made this statement on her Twitter page.

"Azerbaijan's armed forces must immediately withdraw from Armenian territory and cease the violence that has already claimed numerous lives," stated the US Congresswoman.

She proudly noted that she voted in favor of an amendment proposed by Congressman Frank Pallone that limits military assistance to Azerbaijan from the United States. The legislation, which was supported by both Democratic and Republican lawmakers, stipulates that no funds can be allocated to Azerbaijan next year for International Military Education and Training or Foreign Military Financing programs. With these two articles, Azerbaijan received $1.6 million from Washington last year.
