Azerbaijani Aggressive Actions Coupled with Territorial Demands and Threats of Military Operations - Armenian Representative at the UN

The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations, Mher Margaryan, has sent a letter to the President of the UN Security Council for July, Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière of France, presenting the ongoing encroachments by Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, which have resulted in human casualties.

According to information provided to Armenpress by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the letter emphasizes that Azerbaijan's aggressive actions against Armenia are accompanied by territorial claims voiced at the highest level, threats of military operations, and incitement to hatred based on national identity.

It is highlighted that Armenia is steadfast in its right to self-defense in ensuring its sovereignty and territorial integrity, based on Article 51 of the UN Charter. Armenia believes that a comprehensive and lasting political resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be achieved through peaceful means under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The letter has been circulated among the members of the UN Security Council and will soon be published as an official document of the UN Security Council.
