The Name of Verin Shorja Village Must Be Re-Armenianized, Vardan Voskanian

The name Verin Shorja has recently been repeatedly mentioned in connection with the aggression of Baku's dictator's mercenaries, noted Iranian expert Vardan Voskanian on his Facebook page.

He pointed out that we have, without realizing it, essentially legitimized the name Shorja, given to one of our homeland's settlements by the Vachkatun tribes, which literally means 'salty, marshy.'

“And we continue to use it, including even in the barbaric pronunciation of these barbarians (in literary Azerbaijani it sounds as shorja - 'salty, marshy'). This is the same as calling Lake Sevan Goycha, which literally means 'blueish,' therefore the village name must be re-Armenianized,” the Iranian expert stated.
