Is It Possible to Implement a Peacekeeping Mission Along the Entire Border? 'Hayots Ashkharh'
Russian military expert Alexander Kramchikhin stated in an interview with 'Hayots Ashkharh', "It is not possible to carry out a peacekeeping mission along the entire border." He considered the proposal of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to be theoretically possible.
"A mission of this kind can be implemented along the whole border. Theoretically, everything is possible, but... these are difficult times for the CSTO. If Russia agrees to carry out such a large-scale mission at the borders of Armenia, then the CSTO's monitoring mission seems to become redundant." Remember, since May 12, Azerbaijani troops have been in the sovereign territory of Armenia and have not withdrawn, while Pashinyan's proposal for the deployment of Russian peacekeepers has yet to be accepted.
