Will Rustam Badasyan be Appointed as Head of the State Revenue Committee?

The Deputy Minister of Justice, Kristine Grigoryan, does not rule out that the Minister of Justice, Rustam Badasyan, will be appointed as the head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC). She made this statement during a conversation with reporters, addressing the growing rumors regarding Badasyan's potential appointment.

It should be noted that Rustam Badasyan did not participate in today's government meeting, and his deputy, Kristine Grigoryan, represented him. After the meeting, journalists inquired about the reason for Badasyan's absence for the second consecutive time, suggesting he might be preparing to transition to the SRC. In response, Grigoryan explained that Badasyan's absence was due to his presence at the Constitutional Court last week, followed by a week of vacation, with plans to return on Tuesday.

Regarding the rumors of his appointment as head of the SRC, Grigoryan mentioned that a press release would be issued when it is deemed appropriate. She also touched on circulating information suggesting that former Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan might be appointed as the new Minister of Justice, stating that while she is aware of the rumors, she cannot comment on them and would work with Andreasyan if given the opportunity.
