Three Brothers Behind Grenade Robbery in Yerevan; One Captured by Manager
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in the third division of the investigative administration of the central and Norq-Marash administrative districts regarding a robbery committed with a grenade, under Article 175, Part 2, Points 1 and 4, and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
The criminal case was opened today, July 29, related to an armed robbery at a credit organization located at 7/35 Amiryan Street in Yerevan, where masked individuals committed the act.
At around 13:20, two masked individuals entered the establishment and threatened an employee with a grenade, demanding money. The employee, a 34-year-old resident of Yerevan named Levon M., resisted and did not show fear of the attackers, prompting them to flee the scene. However, the manager of the exchange office, who is also a resident of Yerevan named Arthur K., pursued the robbers until they reached 13 Amiryan Street.
In the yard, Arthur K. managed to apprehend one of the suspects, while the other escaped. Responding officers from the central police department arrived at the scene quickly and identified the arrested suspect as 24-year-old Davit B. from the Armavir region, who was taken into custody at the central police station. Police and investigators on site discovered a combat grenade and a medical mask, which were used in the commission of the crime.
Davit B. was reportedly accompanied in the robbery by two other individuals: 27-year-old Isaac H. and 32-year-old Arthur B., both residents of the Armavir region. According to photojournalist sources, the suspects are actual brothers.
