Snowfall in Brazil: First Record in 65 Years

Snow has fallen in southern Brazil, reports Globo television. According to meteorologists, the cold weather is expected to continue through the weekend.

Farmers have reported damage to crops of coffee, sugarcane, cotton, corn, and various other plants. Prices for certain agricultural products have already increased. A rise in coffee and fruit prices is also anticipated.
