No Change in the Health Condition of the Severely Injured Soldier: Avanesyan Details

The soldiers injured as a result of the enemy's provocation are hospitalized, said Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan to journalists. According to her, there is no change in the health condition of the severely injured soldier.

“The condition remains extremely critical,” said the acting minister. Avanesyan did not provide further details, requesting to refer to the Ministry of Defense.

Azerbaijani military units once again provoked a violation of the ceasefire at around 03:40 on July 28, in the northeastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, leading to local combat. As a result of the hostilities, the Armenian side has three casualties and five more soldiers are wounded.

The Azerbaijani units that launched an attack towards Armenian positions were repelled back to their original positions, suffering losses by 09:20. With the mediation of the Russian side, the parties have reached an agreement on a ceasefire.

Today, at around 03:00, in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, towards Karvachar, Azerbaijani military units once again provoked, violating the agreement on the cessation of fire reached the previous day, by opening fire from small arms towards Armenian positions. After the responding actions from the Armenian side, the fire was silenced.

At around 08:40, Azerbaijani military units again opened fire towards Armenian positions located in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. A brief gunfight ensued, resulting in one soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces sustaining a gunshot wound.
