Kremlin Responds to Pashinyan's Proposal
The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to deploy Russian border guards along the entire length of the border with Azerbaijan, stating that discussions are currently underway with Yerevan and Baku regarding the implementation of tripartite agreements.
Previously, Pashinyan had suggested the establishment of Russian border guard posts along the entire border with Azerbaijan. "Russia continues to engage with Yerevan and Baku to ensure full implementation of the tripartite agreements," Peskov said.
When asked to comment on the readiness to fulfill Pashinyan's request, the Russian presidential press secretary responded that "communications with Yerevan continue." He added, "I have nothing more to add." He noted that the Kremlin is aware of the escalation of the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and that "Russian representatives have made significant efforts to restore ceasefire conditions."
"Work is ongoing," Peskov stated.
