Why Are Turks Starting a War Against Us, According to Keryobyan? The Internet Discusses the Acting Minister's Comments

Today, the acting Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Keryobyan, posted a message on his Facebook page, stating: "Dear compatriots, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children! It is clear that Armenia is in a difficult situation, and the enemy does not cease its encroachments on our borders, trying to take advantage of our weakness before the war and our bleeding during the war. The only solution is to grow stronger and commit to building a strong homeland. Each of us must educate ourselves, strengthen ourselves, and empower our homeland. Personal interest must be subordinated to the interests of a strong Armenia; our thoughts and actions must be directed every day towards rectifying our back, consolidating resources, and strengthening our economy, borders, army, and institutions.

We must be educated continuously, work tirelessly, and have many children. Businesspeople must pay all their taxes so that the army can protect those businesses. The government and officials must work day and night to multiply people's opportunities for creation and to serve the strengthening of the homeland. People should do everything within their power to maximize efforts to strengthen Armenia.

We must also strengthen our ties with friends so we can withstand the challenges ahead of our homeland. In this regard, we have many friends around the world—in the south, north, west, and east. I cannot imagine my happiness without a strong and independent Armenia, and I believe the vast majority of the Armenian people share the same sentiment. Action!"

In the comments to the post, user Arthur Khachatryan wrote: "Before the war, at least until the 18th, we were strong, so strong that the Turk did not dare to start a war." The internet is currently discussing the acting minister's response to the aforementioned comment, where Keryobyan stated why Turks are starting a war against Armenians: "Until the 18th, the Turks saw us self-destructing and admired from the sidelines; now they see we are rapidly growing stronger, and that is why they start a war."
