We Are Prepared and Awaiting Orders at 5 AM in Tegh Community: Nerses Shadunts

After midnight, Azerbaijani armed forces once again violated the ceasefire along the northeastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border in Gegharkunik. In Syunik, those on combat duty assert that the enemy is also amassing troops in the region.

Tegh community leader Nerses Shadunts informed Factinfo that no incidents occurred last night, but the community's volunteers are ready and awaiting orders. “There have been no incidents. We are in a state of full readiness from 5 AM. Everything is normal; no extraordinary events have been recorded. Our volunteer youths are on standby, prepared to execute any orders given,” said the community head.

When asked about Azerbaijani troop movements, he noted that there are no significant movements to report. “There are no serious accumulations, but there are some movements – military experts can observe and comment on them. Among the residents, there is no panic; everything is normal and calm, and we are waiting,” he added.

In Goris, the situation is also calm, as stated by Deputy Mayor Irina Yolyan to Factinfo, who added that there have been no incidents recorded. “I cannot say anything definite about other parts of Syunik province, but I can say that as of now, everything is peaceful in Goris; there are no incidents or issues at this time, thank God,” she stated.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Defense had previously reported that at approximately 03:40, Azerbaijani military units once again instigated provocations and violated the ceasefire along the northeastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Local clashes ensued, resulting in three deaths and four injuries on the Armenian side.

Through the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces, an agreement was reached to restore the ceasefire regime along the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact in the northeastern direction. Currently, this agreement is being mostly implemented.
