Irregular Gunfire Heard Near Sotk Mine, Employees Evacuated

There has been increased tension at the border near the Azerbaijani-occupied Karvachar region overnight. The situation is particularly heightened around the Sotk mine, as the border runs directly through the mining area. Irregular gunfire has been reported.

The company Geopromining Gold informed Tert.am that military personnel encountered issues, leading to the sound of sporadic gunfire. As employees work close to the border and military positions, the management made the decision to evacuate the workers. No employees were harmed in the incident; approximately 150 workers were evacuated.
