Vahan Kostanyan Removed from Office

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has signed a decision to dismiss Vahan Kostanyan from the position of Advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly.

“Guided by Article 9, Clause 10 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, and based on point 1 of the decision No. ԱԺԽՈ-006-Լ of the Council of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia dated June 12, 2017, as well as Clause 1.1 of the first appendix approved thereunder, and taking into account V. Kostanyan's application dated July 22, 2021, I hereby decree:

1. To release Vahan Kostanyan from the position of Advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly effective July 30, 2021.
2. To the Deputy Head of the Staff of the National Assembly, acting Head of the Staff of the National Assembly—Chief Secretary A. Grigoryan—to ensure the complete final settlement in accordance with the procedures established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia,”

the decision states.
