The Situation in Yeraskh is Calm at the Moment

The situation in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is currently calm. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Christine Poghosyan, the assistant to the governor of Ararat.

It is noteworthy that after the fighting in Gegharkunik this morning, there were rumors circulating on social media that the situation in Yeraskh was also tense, with reports of casualties.

“The situation is calm in the Yeraskh direction. Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense's statement specifically mentioned which direction the enemy had started fighting, and Yeraskh was not mentioned,” she said.

Poghosyan also denied the reports of casualties, reiterating that the situation in Yeraskh is not tense at this moment.

It is reminded that on July 28, around 03:40, Azerbaijani military units once again provoked and violated the ceasefire in the northeastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to cease fire with the mediation of Moscow.
