Fire Truck Responding to Emergency in Yerevan Partially Falls into a Pit

A recent emergency occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:00, a fire truck from the emergency situations ministry responded to a call at 22 Halabyan Street. However, the ground in the building's open area, which holds underground garages built during the Soviet era, collapsed, causing the fire truck to partially tip over.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan at the scene, fortunately, there are no reported injuries. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene.

Currently, rescuers are attempting to extract the vehicle using special equipment due to concerns that bringing in heavy machinery could lead to further collapses. The area around the garages is reportedly in a state of disarray, emitting a foul odor and presenting unsanitary conditions, primarily due to the negligence of local residents. Officials from the Ajapnyak administrative district are expected to take note of this incident, install special signs, and compel the building's authorized body or homeowner association to address the unsanitary conditions.
