Body of Electric Line Mechanic from Araks Branch of Electric Networks of Armenia Transferred to Hospital
A tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region on July 27. Around 09:40, the police department of Artashat received a report from the Artashat Medical Center that a citizen had been transferred to them in a deceased state by the duty medical team. As reported by photographer Gagik Shamshyan, Chief of the Ararat Regional Police Grisha Amirkhanyan and the head of the Artashat police division Arsen Voskanian have arrived at the hospital.
A group from the Ararat Regional Investigative Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia also arrived, led by Senior Investigator Norair Aivazyan, who specializes in particularly important cases. Police and investigators have determined that the deceased was a 42-year-old resident of Aygezard village in the Ararat region, Aram Barseghyan.
It has also been ascertained that on the same day, at around 09:15, A. Barseghyan had ascended the electricity lines on Kostan Street in Aygezard village to perform renovation work, during which he was electrocuted and died on the way to the hospital.
Procedural materials are being prepared by N. Aivazyan regarding the incident. Several examinations have been appointed, including a forensic examination of the body. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the deceased worked as an electric line mechanic at the Araks branch of the Electric Networks of Armenia.
