Police Goes to Meghri, Scrutinizing Everything to Dig Up Information on Former Mayor Mkhitar Zakaryan - Yerem Sargsyan

Lawyer Yerem Sargsyan has stated on his Facebook page: "The Main Criminal Police Department has gone to Meghri and is scrutinizing everything possible to dig up something regarding former community leader Mkhitar Zakaryan. They have been on this case for several months now, and what they've found is allegedly just an administrative violation; they're fabricating a crime.

Guys, can you imagine what would happen if you were under such scrutiny for two days?" Earlier, he mentioned: "I have submitted a report about a crime committed by the police to the 1-02 service. Legally, this report should have been sent to the Special Investigative Service of Armenia, but the prosecutor's office has grossly violated the law by sending it to the police to investigate whether a disciplinary violation has occurred or not. They have already decided there is no crime. Of course, the goal is to delay and destroy evidence, but I must say that the prosecutor's office, which has fabricated new laws, will also have at least an issue of negligence in office. I have plenty of evidence. It is clear that this would not be happening if it did not concern the unlawful actions against the former head of the Meghri community, Mkhitar Zakaryan."
