A Soldier from the N Army Unit Mortally Wounded by His Own Shot: Investigative Committee Provides Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has reported details from the preliminary investigation of a criminal case initiated under the third part of Article 360.1 of the Criminal Code.

It has been established that on July 26, 2021, at approximately 22:26, a conscript soldier of the N Army Unit, Sargis Zhiraire Grigoryan, fired a single shot from his AK-type firearm into his own left chest while in a fire position, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
