Wounded Soldier in Gegharkunik Regains Consciousness

A soldier, Arman Atasyan, who was seriously injured in a gunfire incident on July 23 at the Gegharkunik border, has regained consciousness, and his life is no longer in danger, confirmed Col. Sahak Ohanyan, head of the Military Medical Department.

The soldier underwent surgery to remove one of his kidneys. He is now off the artificial respirator, is breathing independently, and has even been able to communicate with doctors.
