Revising the Design of Patrol Service Vehicles
A public competition has been announced by the Police regarding the design of patrol service vehicles. Following the competition, certain proposals were received, and according to the public procurement process, these proposals were selected after undergoing evaluations and meeting specific criteria. This was stated by Amalya Hovsepyan, the coordinator-adviser of the Ministry of Justice’s International Legal Cooperation at a press conference.
According to Hovsepyan, they have faced criticism not only from the public but also from state institutions. "Such criticisms are normal, as a newly established service cannot be ideal in terms of its functions, daily operations, or the vehicle issue. Yes, listening to these criticisms, we are currently revising the design of the vehicles, and we will have patrol service vehicles with a new design," she said.
The representative of the ministry noted that the Patrol Service follows certain standards adhered to by all countries. It is primarily meant to serve the citizens of the country. Furthermore, the Patrol Service is the body that first interacts with foreign citizens as the face of the state. Therefore, the authorities believe it should also be understandable and perceivable to foreigners.
