Rescue Teams Bring Citizens Back to Shore

On July 25, at 16:10, an unidentified citizen contacted the special rescue squad, reporting that citizens had capsized their kayak about one kilometer from the shore. A combat unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s regional rescue administration was dispatched to the site. The rescuers brought the kayak and citizens A. A. (born in 1979), L. A. (born in 1981), G. A. (born in 2010), G. A. (born in 2011), and E. K. (born in 1981) back to shore.

At 18:24 on the same day, the Gegharkunik regional crisis management center received a call that the engine of a motorboat heading from Sevan city’s “Draxtik” beach to the Sevan peninsula had failed. A combat unit from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s regional rescue administration was again dispatched. The rescuers retrieved the motorboat from approximately 3 kilometers offshore and brought citizens H. K. (born in 1960), A. H. (born in 1970), and G. F. (born in 2000) back to shore.
