Many Were Quick to Blame Me for Collaborating in This Format: David Sanasaryan

The president of the "Sovereign Armenia" party, David Sanasaryan, wrote on his Facebook page: "On July 24, during the first session of the consultative assembly for cooperation with extraparliamentary forces, I raised the issue of establishing an investigative commission to study the questions related to the 44-day war. As a result of the voting among the participants, the question was adopted as a consultative proposal by a majority of votes. Today, I learned that the ruling party has decided to create the aforementioned commission in parliament.

If the fact-finding group is formed in the format of 'parliamentary factions + representatives of extraparliamentary forces,' we are ready to become participants in this important process, sparing no effort. It is critically necessary for us to thoroughly understand what happened during the war, who should bear responsibility, and what lessons should be learned.

Many were quick to blame me for cooperating in this format, but what matters to me is changing the situation in the country. P.S. I want to inform you that in the upcoming meetings, I will address all the issues and their solutions that I spoke about during the election campaign."

It should be noted that on July 24, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the first session of the consultative assembly for cooperation with extraparliamentary political forces. The meeting was attended by Aram Sargsyan, president of the "Republic" party, Samvel Babayan, leader of the "Liberal Party," Tigran Urikhanyan, leader of the "Alliance" progressive centrist party, Norair Norikyan, head of the "Just Armenia" party, David Sanasaryan, leader of the "Sovereign Armenia" party, Tigran Khzmalyan, head of the Armenian European Party, Levon Shirinyan, president of the Armenian Christian Democratic Party, Mher Terteryan, president of the "United Homeland" party, Mikael Hayrapetyan, leader of the Conservative Party, and Sedrak Ajemyan, secretary of the Social Democratic Hunchakian Party's board in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the participants and wished them successful and effective discussions. The next meeting involving Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the leaders of the extraparliamentary political forces will take place soon, as stated in the government’s announcement.
