Another Person Charged in the Case of Khachatur Sukiasyan's Brother
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has charged another individual in connection with the incident of hooliganism that occurred on Amiryan Street in Yerevan. The accused is a 46-year-old resident of Yerevan.
According to the factual data obtained by the investigation, on July 18, 2021, at around 19:15, the 46-year-old man, seeking clarifications after his wife Narik Karapetyan honked at him in traffic, met with Narik Karapetyan and his sister's husband alongside his acquaintance Robert Sukiasyan and a group of other individuals.
The conversation quickly escalated into a dispute, during which the 46-year-old man struck Narik Karapetyan with his fist, and subsequently, displaying open disrespect toward society, they shouted insults at each other for an extended period and exchanged blows.
During this time, the 46-year-old man, continuing to exhibit aggressive hooligan conduct, picked up a "Baikal MP654K" model air pistol and attempted to shoot it at Narik Karapetyan.
As a result of the aforementioned actions, the operations of nearby establishments were significantly disrupted, causing discomfort and serious concern among surrounding individuals.
Based on sufficient evidence, the 46-year-old man has been charged under part 4 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, and he has been taken into custody as a precautionary measure.
It is noteworthy that within the framework of the mentioned criminal case, Robert Sukiasyan has been arrested, while Narik Karapetyan has also been charged and is currently wanted, with a decision to detain him as a precautionary measure. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
