One of the Suspects in the Murder of Stavropol's Criminal Investigation Deputy Ruslan Abovyan Arrested
In Russia, law enforcement authorities have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murdering the deputy head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Stavropol branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by the "Interfax" agency, citing the regional administration of the Investigative Committee.
The arrested individual will soon be transferred to the Investigative Committee of Russia. It is noted that the suspect was found in abandoned buildings. A second suspect is currently being sought.
Earlier reports indicated that Ruslan Abovyan, the deputy head of the criminal investigation department of a local police station, had been murdered. He was attacked last night and was subsequently hospitalized, but unfortunately, he passed away in the intensive care unit. Preliminary assumptions suggest that there were two assailants.
The Baza Telegram channel had previously reported that one of the theories regarding the murder involved bloody revenge related to an arrest that took place six years ago in Chechnya, in which Abovyan participated.
