Flooding Begins in Belgium Due to Heavy Rainfall

Flooding has begun in Belgium due to heavy rainfall. Several areas, including the city of Namur, which is the administrative center of the Walloon region, have been submerged. Reports indicate that the city of Dinant has been particularly affected.

The floodwaters have swept dozens of vehicles, road signs, and barriers into the towns. In various neighborhoods of the city, water levels have reached up to 30 cm. Fortunately, while there is talk of material damages, no casualties have been reported.

This heavy rainfall is the most significant in the last 100 years, causing several rivers and their tributaries in Belgium to overflow their banks.
