A Mandatory Military Serviceman Dies from Gunshot Wound Accidentally Fired by a Colleague

On July 16, at approximately 21:40, during active duty, a mandatory military serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces, Private Arthur Khachaturov Ghazaryan, born in 2001, received a fatal gunshot wound as a result of an accidental discharge of a firearm by a colleague due to violation of safety rules in handling weapons.

An investigation is underway regarding the incident.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares in the deep sorrow of this loss and expresses its support to the family, relatives, and comrades of the fallen serviceman.
