Iran Calls for Lasting Peace in South Caucasus
The spokesperson of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh, has emphasized the necessity of achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus as soon as possible.
This statement was made against the backdrop of border clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to IRNA, Khatibzadeh expressed disappointment over the casualties on both sides, including the deaths and injuries of several individuals.
In his remarks, he called for restraint in border disputes and advocated for a peaceful resolution. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also stated that Tehran is ready to provide any assistance necessary to achieve enduring peace.
